Pastor Gary Rush

Senior Pastor

Pastor Gary has been serving as Senior Pastor of Stanley Park Baptist Church since 2017. While serving as an interim Youth Pastor in 2002, Gary sensed God’s call into full time pastoral ministry and enrolled at Heritage Theological Seminary. After marrying Jennifer in 2007, Gary’s ministry expanded into an Associate role, overseeing Youth and Worship Ministry at SPBC. During this time he continued his seminary studies at McMaster Divinity College and Conrad Grebel University College, graduating with a Master of Theological Studies, and was ordained with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec. Gary and Jennifer have two sons, Jonathan and Theodore, and together they love serving in various ministries. Gary and Jennifer love the Lord Jesus with all their hearts and are excited to experience what God has in store for SPBC!

Pastor Peter Schultz

Interim Youth Pastor

Peter enjoys connecting with people and helping others grow in their relationship with Christ. He leads our Stanley Park Youth, as well as our Prayer & Bible Study group.

Pastor Paul Kowtecky

Associate Pastor for Congregational Life

Pastor Paul lives to help people who desire to grow and develop their relationship with Jesus. He’s been a pastor at SPBC since 2021, having come out of retirement after sensing God’s call to return to pastoral ministry. Previously, he’d spent 25 years in the Christian Bookselling industry, 19 years in pastoral ministry, and 6 years as chaplain at a long-term care facility. He has a Bachelor of Theology degree from Emmanuel Bible College, and a Master of Divinity degree from McMaster Divinity College.
